Si bien el Perú cuenta con fortalezas macroeconómicas, también enfrenta fragilidades estructurales asociadas a un sistema político inestable. En ese sentido, indicó que es necesario fortalecer el marco institucional para generar estabilidad y, al mismo tiempo, mejorar el sistema tributario.

“La estabilidad institucional es un activo económico, y Perú tiene bastante que mejorar en su marco institucional para generar estabilidad. También debe mejorar su sistema tributario para reducir la informalidad y no quedarse en la ‘trampa del ingreso medio’, exportando solo materias primas sin valor añadido”, señaló.

Conflictos geopolíticos y resiliencia del mercado

Si bien los conflictos internacionales han provocado remezones en los mercados, Ureta sostuvo que sus efectos suelen ser transitorios. Según explicó, ello se debe a que la economía global se sostiene en dos pilares que crecen a gran escala: la innovación y el modelo financiero.

No obstante, advirtió que el contexto también ha generado desequilibrios en el crecimiento global. Entre ellos, mencionó la concentración del 60% de la producción en apenas el 10% de la población mundial, mientras que el 90% restante —principalmente en economías emergentes— concentra solo el 40%.

Asimismo, señaló que la deuda pública se ha incrementado en países desarrollados y que cerca del 50% del superávit global beneficia a Estados Unidos, en paralelo al mayor protagonismo de China en la economía mundial.

Aun así, la innovación continúa expandiéndose, impulsada por la inteligencia artificial. También crece la liquidez, en un contexto en el que el dinero digital se ha consolidado como un nuevo canal para movilizar recursos en el sistema financiero.
