Entre las principales designaciones figura la de Alfredo Santiago Carlos Ferrero Diez Canseco como embajador en los Estados Unidos, así como la de Luis Carlos Antonio Iberico Núñez en el Reino de España, con acreditación simultánea ante el Principado de Andorra y como representante permanente ante la Organización Mundial del Turismo.

Asimismo, se designó a Francisco Tenya Hasegawa como embajador en Japón y a Fernando Julio Antonio Quirós Campos en la República de Singapur.

En tanto, Carmen del Rocío Azurín Araujo fue nombrada embajadora en la República de Filipinas, mientras que Stephen Yuri Haas Del Carpio asumirá funciones en la República Francesa.

El Gobierno también designó a Javier Manuel Paulinich Velarde como embajador en la República de la India, con acreditación simultánea ante Bangladesh, Maldivas, Nepal y Sri Lanka, con residencia en Nueva Delhi.

En la región, se oficializó el nombramiento de César Augusto Jordán Palomino como embajador en la República de El Salvador; Carlos Guillermo Hakansson Nieto en la República de Costa Rica; y Zósimo Roberto Morillo Herrada en Jamaica, con la extensión de plenos poderes.
