El Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP) informó este domingo que fueron canceladas todas las operaciones internacionales y la mayoría de las nacionales en el Aeropuerto Internacional de Puerto Vallarta, tras la ola de violencia desatada por la muerte del líder del Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG), Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias El Mencho.

El Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP) informó este domingo que fueron canceladas todas las operaciones internacionales y la mayoría de las nacionales en el Aeropuerto Internacional de Puerto Vallarta, tras la ola de violencia desatada por la muerte del líder del Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG), Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias El Mencho.

Oseguera Cervantes fue abatido durante un operativo en Tapalpa, 130 kilómetros al sur de Guadalajara, capital de Jalisco. Alias El Mencho, de 56 años, era uno de los criminales más buscados por autoridades mexicanas y estadounidenses, con una recompensa millonaria por información que condujera a su captura.

En un comunicado, el GAP precisó que los hechos violentos registrados en varias zonas de Jalisco no impactaron la operación interna ni la seguridad dentro de la terminal aérea, la cual se encuentra bajo resguardo de elementos de la Guardia Nacional y de la Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional.

Sin embargo, la suspensión de vuelos obedeció a una decisión de las aerolíneas, puntualizó la nota.

“Por decisión de las líneas aéreas, hoy domingo 22 de febrero de 2026, todas las operaciones internacionales y la mayoría de las nacionales se encuentran canceladas”, señaló.

Las autoridades aeroportuarias exhortaron a los pasajeros a mantener la calma y mantenerse en comunicación directa con sus aerolíneas para conocer cambios en sus itinerarios.

Por otro lado, el GAP informó que el Aeropuerto Internacional de Guadalajara (GDL) opera con normalidad, sin cancelaciones ni afectaciones en sus vuelos, pese a los hechos de violencia registrados en distintos puntos de Jalisco.

Asimismo, precisó que no se han registrado incidentes al interior del aeropuerto ni existe riesgo para pasajeros, colaboradores o visitantes, luego de que en redes sociales circularan videos de personas corriendo para resguardarse en el aeropuerto.

El GAP indicó que el material que circula en redes sociales no corresponde a hechos dentro de la terminal aérea, sino a “psicosis presentada entre los pasajeros, lo que ha generado percepciones que no reflejan la situación real en los aeropuertos”.
