En entrevista con el programa “Buenos Días Perú”, el gerente de Servicios a la Ciudad y Gestión Ambiental de la municipalidad de Villa El Salvador contó detalles de la problemática que enfrenta el distrito.

“Desde el martes a las 11 p.m. nos bloquearon el chip. Tenemos unidades que realizan el recojo de residuos sólidos en el distrito y que utilizan GNV… Por ello hacemos un llamado al Gobierno para que activen nuevamente el chip. El Ministerio de Energía y Minas (Minem) ha declarado que la reanudación del suministro de gas natural podría tomar hasta dos semanas o más, un plazo que muchos sectores consideran insuficiente ante los grandes problemas que significa no contar con GNV.

La escasez también ha generado otros problemas como el alza de los precios de combustibles alternativos. La demanda de gas licuado de petróleo (GLP) aumentó y los precios del galón han subido significativamente en varias estaciones de servicio.
