El fallo de la Corte Suprema establece que el Gobierno estadounidense no tiene facultades inherentes en tiempos de paz para imponer aranceles con base a la Ley de Poderes de Emergencia Económica Internacional (IEEPA) de 1977 invocada por Trump como pilar de su guerra comercial.

Según el mandatario, los países que “han estado estafando” a EE.UU. “durante años están eufóricos” tras el dictamen, que podría significar el reembolso de unos 240.000 millones recaudados por Washington por los llamados “gravámenes recíprocos” anunciados en abril de 2025, entre otras medidas.
