Un sismo de magnitud 4.1 se registró la mañana de este miércoles 18 de febrero en la provincia de Talara, departamento de Piura, según informó el Instituto Geofísico del Perú (IGP).

El movimiento telúrico, reportado a las 08:27:52, tuvo su epicentro 9 km al N de Talara, Talara – Piura.

De acuerdo con el reporte oficial del organismo, el evento sísmico presentó una profundidad de 35 kilómetros y alcanzó una intensidad de grado II y III en la escala de Mercalli, lo que generó alarma entre los residentes, aunque no se han reportado víctimas.
