Asimismo, INDECI se dirigió a los peruanos pidiendo que armaran un plan de contingencia ante cualquier desastre natural, como un sismo de gran magnitud que, según indican los expertos, estaría próximo a ocurrir.
A lo largo del año se han realizado simulacros de sismos de escala nacional con el objetivo de instaurar una cultura de prevención dando a conocer información básica ante cualquier escenario sísmico.
Por último, INDECI recomienda que cada familia cuente con políticas preventivas como una mochila de emergencia en la que deberás tener artículos de higiene, alimentos no perecibles, ropa y abrigos, medicinas, tu identificación, dispositivos de comunicación como radios a pilas, linternas y más.
