“Con mucha tristeza despedimos a nuestra querida osa de anteojos, quien partió a los 27 años. Su presencia nos regaló momentos inolvidables y permitió educar, inspirar y fortalecer nuestro compromiso con la conservación de esta emblemática especie”, señaló la institución en una publicación acompañada por una imagen del animal.

A lo largo de su permanencia en el zoológico, Estrella se convirtió en uno de los principales atractivos del recinto y en un referente educativo para miles de visitantes. Escolares, familias y turistas pudieron conocer de cerca a esta especie andina, considerada símbolo de la biodiversidad del país.

El deceso de la osa marca el cierre de una etapa para el zoológico, que la albergó desde temprana edad y fue testigo de cómo se transformó en un ícono del parque.
