En el marco de los 90 años de su nacimiento, VIVA en el Mundo e Iguana Films presentan “Mario, entre las palabras y la música”, un espectáculo musical en vivo que rinde homenaje a una de las figuras más influyentes de la literatura universal, explorando un territorio poco revelado de su vida: su íntima relación con la música.

El montaje propone un recorrido sensorial por los temas que acompañaron al autor a lo largo de su vida en distintas ciudades del mundo. Desde las melodías que escuchaba mientras escribía hasta los conciertos y óperas a los que asistía, la puesta reconstruye la banda sonora personal del escritor, donde el Perú dialoga con Europa y con los contextos históricos que marcaron su obra.

Hologramas, elementos visuales y una escenografía especialmente diseñada envolverán al público en episodios clave de su biografía, entrelazados con las piezas musicales que marcaron su memoria emocional e intelectual. El espectáculo busca convertir la experiencia en un viaje íntimo por los pasajes más significativos de su vida y creación.

Destaca la participación de la intérprete peruana Tania Libertad, quien cantará varios temas con su grupo musical. La acompañará Roxana Valdivieso en algunos temas en francés y también Sebastián Llosa, todos bajo la producción y dirección de Luis Llosa Urquidi e Iguana Films.

Un grupo de baile y un coro coreografiarán el repertorio, rico y variado, que comienza con el nacimiento de Vargas Llosa en Arequipa, para seguirlo a través del mundo en sus casi noventa años de vida. El programa musical incorpora obras de artistas como Léo Ferré, Édith Piaf y Joan Manuel Serrat, así como fragmentos de música clásica.
