El líder norcoreano, Kim Jong-un, inspeccionó decenas de lanzacohetes múltiples de 600 mm, indicó este jueves la agencia estatal de noticias KCNA, y afirmó que el país asiático fijará sus planes de futuro para reforzar al Ejército durante un congreso del partido único que se celebrará a finales de febrero.

“Se trata de un sistema de lanzamiento múltiple de cohetes, pero se puede decir que es un arma que prácticamente no se diferencia de un misil balístico de alta precisión en términos de precisión y potencia”, dijo Kim el miércoles durante una ceremonia.

El mandatario norcoreano, que se dejó fotografiar al volante de uno de los sistemas de lanzamiento de cohetes, añadió además que el noveno Congreso del Partido de los Trabajadores servirá para definir la hoja de ruta de las capacidades de defensa de Pionyang.

“Aceleraremos aún más nuestro esfuerzo por mejorar constantemente la fuerza militar”, afirmó.

El Congreso se celebra cada cinco años y el noveno tendrá lugar a finales de este mes, según KCNA, aunque no se ha anunciado la fecha exacta.
