A su juicio, una amnistía responsable es la “transición del miedo al Estado de derecho” y “el compromiso de que el poder no volverá a ejercerse sin límites y de que la ley estará por encima de la fuerza”.

“Tenemos la responsabilidad de documentar nuestra memoria histórica antes de que los hechos desaparezcan. Muchos protagonistas son hoy historia viva. Su testimonio será parte esencial de la reconstrucción nacional”, subrayó González Urrutia, quien reclama la Presidencia desde el exilio al considerar que venció a Nicolás Maduro en las presidenciales de 2024.

Los diputados aprobaron conceder la amnistía sobre hechos o “faltas cometidas” durante diferentes episodios de crisis política ocurridos entre 2002 y 2025, lo que deja por fuera a varias personas que se consideran presos políticos.
