En conferencia de prensa, la Fuerza Aérea del Perú (FAP) informó que el helicóptero que se accidentó y dejó 15 personas fallecidas había pasado su última inspección técnica en noviembre del año pasado. La aeronave contaba con el mantenimiento correspondiente y se encontraba operativa al momento del vuelo de Ica hacia Arequipa.

“Cada vez que una nave vuela pasa por un proceso riguroso de mantenimiento para que sea una nave operativa. Su última inspección mayor fue en noviembre del año pasado. El alto mando de la FAP también aclaró sobre las personas que iban a bordo y no eran tripulantes.

“Se tratan de vuelos de acción cívica, pueden viajar personas de diferente orden, inclusive personal extra FAP. Lo tenemos normado y está autorizado. Algunos radican por allá, otros van en épocas de necesidades familiares que son privados”, sostuvo.

La FAP reiteró sus condolencias a los familiares de las víctimas y aseguró que brindará todas las facilidades para esclarecer lo ocurrido.

La nave estaba piloteada por el Mayor FAP Sergio Paucar Centurión, el Alférez FAP Luis Huertas Cárcamo, junto a la Suboficial de Primera Kamila Anchapuri Jove y el Suboficial de Segunda Leiner Aguirre Huamán, en una misión programada, todos ellos fallecidos.
