Sin embargo, este domingo la balanza se inclinaría a favor del aspirante de derecha, quien ha recibido el respaldo de otros candidatos de la derecha tradicional, por lo que superaría más del 50% de las adhesiones.
En la primera vuelta, realizada el 16 de noviembre, fue Jara la que ganó con el 26,8% de los votos, mientras que Kast fue segundo con el 23,9% de las preferencias.
La segunda vuelta electoral tendrá como contrincantes al conservador José Antonio Kast , del Partido Republicano, y a Jeannette Jara , candidata de izquierda y representante del Partido Comunista.
Más de 15,7 millones de chilenos vuelven el domingo 14 de diciembre a las urnas para elegir al nuevo presidente que sucederá en el cargo al progresista Gabriel Boric, quien dejará el poder en el próximo mes de marzo.
