La Fiscalía de la Nación aprobó el protocolo sobre la actuación funcional de la institución en procesos de elección de autoridades a nivel nacional, que se aplicará en las Elecciones Generales del 2026.

Según la Resolución de la Fiscalía de la Nación N° 651-2026-MP-FN, dicho protocolo consta de 16 páginas y 2 anexos, e incorpora componentes relacionados a la gestión, planificación y control de las actividades vinculadas al desarrollo de los comicios, así como a la prevención y persecución del delito.
