“Nada ni nadie nos va a quitar nuestros derechos, a pesar de que haya retrocesos, aquí estaremos de pie para impedir que no se detengan los pasos que se han caminado hacia adelante”, afirmó.

La magistrada remarcó que esta fecha no se celebra, sino que se conmemora la lucha de millones de mujeres, muchas de ellas anónimas, que trabajaron por abrir espacios de igualdad y reconocimiento. Asimismo, indicó que la labor de jueces y juezas requiere no solo conocimiento jurídico, sino también sensibilidad social y comprensión de la realidad del país.

Tello Gilardi informó que el Poder Judicial registró 926 denuncias por los delitos de feminicidio, tentativa de feminicidio y trata de personas entre todo el 2025 y enero del 2026.

De ese total, 668 denuncias corresponden a feminicidio y tentativa de feminicidio, mientras que 258 están vinculadas a trata de personas. “Cada caso de feminicidio representa no solo una vida perdida o sensiblemente afectada, sino una familia destrozada y una sociedad que debe confrontar su dolorosa realidad”, expresó.

En el marco de la conmemoración del Día Internacional de la Mujer, el presidente de la República, José María Balcázar, encabezó en Palacio de Gobierno la ceremonia de la XXIII condecoración “Orden al Mérito de la Mujer” 2026, en la que fueron reconocidas 15 peruanas por su contribución a la defensa de los derechos y la promoción de la igualdad de oportunidades.
