En abril del 2024, antes de ser designado como titular del Produce, fue designado viceministro de MYPE e Industria, desde donde lideró la formulación e implementación de políticas orientadas al fortalecimiento empresarial, la industrialización sostenible, la innovación y la descentralización productiva.

Asimismo, fue miembro de la Federación Nacional de Cooperativas de Ahorro y Crédito (Fenacrep) y presidente del directorio del Banco Agropecuario (Agrobanco) entre el 2021 y 2024.
