La empresa distribuidora de gas natural Cálidda informó que se ha dispuesto un mecanismo de racionamiento en el despacho de gas natural, luego de que Transportadora de Gas del Perú (TGP) reportara una emergencia en sus instalaciones que restringe el abastecimiento del recurso.

Según detalló la compañía en un comunicado, la contingencia fue informada por TGP el 1 de marzo y afecta la entrega de gas natural a los concesionarios de distribución. Frente a esta situación, el Ministerio de Energía y Minas (Minem) declaró el estado de emergencia mediante la Resolución Viceministerial N° 004-2026-MINEM/VMH, con el objetivo de permitir que la empresa transportadora ejecute con celeridad los trabajos técnicos necesarios para superar el problema.

Asimismo, a través de la Resolución Directoral N° 020-2026-MINEM/DGH, se estableció un mecanismo de racionamiento que prioriza el suministro únicamente para consumidores residenciales y comerciales, así como para el transporte público masivo de pasajeros cuyo único combustible sea el gas natural vehicular (GNV).

La medida no incluye a vehículos de carga ni a unidades livianas como taxis, coaster, mototaxis u otros similares.

Cálidda precisó que la causa de la interrupción no está atribuida a su operación; sin embargo, señaló que viene trabajando de manera ininterrumpida y en coordinación con TGP y las autoridades competentes para mitigar el impacto de la restricción.

En ese contexto, la empresa exhortó a sus clientes residenciales y comerciales a realizar un uso responsable y moderado del gas natural, manteniendo sus consumos dentro de los niveles habituales para contribuir a la estabilidad del sistema mientras se concluyen los trabajos técnicos.

Respecto a los grandes clientes —como estaciones de GNV, consumidores industriales regulados e independientes y empresas generadoras— indicó que se mantienen coordinaciones y comunicaciones directas para gestionar el suministro, priorizando la seguridad del sistemay la continuidad del servicio esencial.
