El espectáculo es un díptico satírico latinoamericano que reúne dos textos clásicos del teatro de la región. La propuesta escénica busca acercar estas obras al público actual mediante una puesta en escena que dialoga con la realidad política y social contemporánea.

El primer texto es “El gigante de amapolas”, escrito en 1840 por el pensador argentino Juan Bautista Alberdi. La obra plantea que el poder de un dictador surge, en gran parte, de la división y el oportunismo de quienes intentan enfrentarlo.

La segunda pieza es “La chinfonía burguesa”, creada en 1930 por los escritores nicaragüenses José Coronel Urtecho y Joaquín Pasos. La historia sigue a una familia acomodada cuya rutina se altera cuando la hija decide casarse con un poeta, generando situaciones llenas de ironía y humor.
